Jouw uitdaging
In this exciting opportunity as Technical Expert Accommodation, you will be working on the newest technologies of the naval division of a world-leading Dutch shipbuilding group. Your main responsibility will be translating the concept design into detailed technical specifications. Next to that, you will oversee the engineering process, and make sure the production is supported with the highest quality standards. By monitoring the external subcontractors, you will ensure the correct design and execution of joinery and accommodation systems for the navy vessels.
If you have worked with systems such as lining, ceiling, flooring, furniture, insulation, and galley, this is a great opportunity for you!
Wat je gaat doen
- Translating customer wishes and design requirements into technical specifications, according to rules & regulations
- Problem-solving during the production phase, as well as supporting and guiding the production team
- Cooperating with procurement & supply chain departments in order to choose the best materials and suppliers
- Participating in quality & factory inspections and tests
- Ensuring all project-related documents and records are accurately stored and updated
- Constantly developing your knowledge about the industry and the latest developments
- Collaborating with other engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of the project

Wat je meebrengt
- BSc. or MSc. degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or another relevant discipline
- Previous experience with joinery works within the shipbuilding sector
- In-depth knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and industry standards
- Proficiency in CAD software & ability to interpret complex engineering data
- Available in the Rotterdam Area
- EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects
