Main requirements: +3 years of experience as a structural engineer (hull), preferably design experience in Siemens NX

Jouw uitdaging

As a Structural Hull Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Team specializing in mega yacht projects +80m. You will take on, independently or in a team, the project design and set up detailed hull & structural design according to the basic design and technical specifications for the hull and related components of the vessel. As you will be involved in projects from engineering to delivery, you will also communicate with the production team on a regular basis.

Wat je gaat doen

  • Gathering project information and analyzing the hull drawings, to stay up-to-date with all changes and alterations
  • Performing the 3D design of structures and data sheets ensuring integration with the rest of the project
  • Thinking of creative solutions for complex problems to provide production support, where you could use your outside-the-box thinking
  • Actively cooperating with the other disciplines in the execution of the tasks, to ensure a smooth information flow
  • Analyzing and checking the drawings in the process from engineering to production and delivery, as you will be involved in several project stages
  • Supporting the production team with solving problems
  • Communicating with external parties and customers

Wat je meebrengt

  • +3 years of experience as a Structural Engineer in the yacht- or shipbuilding sectors
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably Siemens NX, Team Centre or similar
  • Clear and empathetic communication, since you will be working across several departments and project teams
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, international environment
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  • Available for full-time in Leiden area
