Jouw uitdaging
As a Shock & Noise Engineer, you are involved in the design aspects related to shock, underwater noise, sonar noise and inboard noise of Navy Ships. Your main goal is to design the ship structure and the mounting of system components with respect to the requirements.
Wat je gaat doen
- Defining and negotiating design requirements, standards and norms
- Designing system frequencies, displacements and accelerations of components and skids, including the selection of flexible mountings
- Cooperating with structural engineers, suppliers and customers frequently
- Participating in full-scale testing and validation onboard during the production phase
- Supporting R&D department for the verifications and validations, software development, product development and process development

Wat je meebrengt
- BSc. or MSc. degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with the design of flexible mountings and inboard noise calculations
- Experience with relevant software tools (6-DOF, FEMAP, ANSYS)
- Available for full-time in Vlissingen
- EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects
