Jouw uitdaging
As a Project Engineer Yachtbuilding, you will play a crucial role in the engineering and construction of luxury custom-built yachts. You will be responsible for coordinating the technical aspects of the project, ensuring seamless integration between various disciplines, and maintaining high-quality engineering deliverables. Your role will involve direct interaction with internal teams, external stakeholders, and subcontractors to drive the project from concept to completion.
Wat je gaat doen
- Oversee and manage the construction engineering scope within a yachtbuilding project.
- Develop and implement technical solutions, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure a coordinated and high-quality elaboration of design principles, detailed engineering, and documentation in 3D models, drawings, and data sheets.
- Collaborate with Lead Engineers and Project Engineers from other disciplines to ensure seamless multidisciplinary integration.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and provide innovative solutions for manufacturing feasibility.
- Supervise and guide engineers, ensuring clear and executable instructions for technical requirements and quality control.
- Monitor project deliverables, ensuring adherence to planning, budget, and quality standards.
- Act as a key technical point of contact for shipyards, owner teams, classification societies, and suppliers.
- Participate in site and customer team meetings to track progress and address project requirements.

Wat je meebrengt
- +5 years of experience in shipbuilding or yachtbuilding engineering
- A BSc. or MSc. in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction engineering, class and flag regulations, and yacht manufacturing processes.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, PLM systems, and construction methodologies.
- Ability to manage teams, provide guidance, and ensure high-quality engineering execution.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Available for full-time in the Leiden area
