Jouw uitdaging
As a Naval Architect, you will play a key role in safeguarding the technical integrity of world-class luxury yachts by ensuring accurate weight and centre-of-gravity control. Working at the heart of the engineering organisation, you will review, verify, and validate thousands of weight items, directly influencing vessel performance, stability, and safety.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with project engineers and multidisciplinary engineering teams, acting as the authority on weight data and naval architectural consistency. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will be essential in identifying discrepancies, resolving inconsistencies, and maintaining a reliable weight model throughout the build process.
Wat je gaat doen
- Review, verify, and validate existing weight and centre-of-gravity (CoG) data using engineering models, drawings, and supplier documentation.
- Validate approximately 4,000 lightship weight items, including weight and CoG for each component.
- Verify weight and CoG inputs from all engineering disciplines and ensure data consistency across the project.
- Identify, analyse, and clearly report anomalies, inconsistencies, and missing weight items.
- Perform all verifications based on CAD models and detailed technical drawings.
- Work closely with project engineers to maintain accurate and up-to-date weight control throughout the project.
- Support engineering decision-making by providing reliable weight and balance data.

Wat je meebrengt
- MSc or BSc degree in Naval Architecture
- +5 years of experience as a Naval Architect
- At least 5 years of experience as a Naval Architect, preferably with a strong focus on weight control.
- Hands-on experience with CADmatic, Siemens NX, and AutoCAD.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
