Your opportunity

As a Vibration Analysis Engineer, you will be the go-to expert for noise and vibration performance on next-generation naval vessels. You will develop and validate smart solutions for vibration isolation, flexible equipment mountings, and noise reduction on board. With your input, ships will meet strict requirements for underwater noise signatures, sonar effectiveness, onboard comfort, and system reliability.

This position offers a unique chance to combine hands-on engineering with advanced analysis tools, while working side-by-side with colleagues, suppliers, and clients. You will also contribute to innovative research and development that shapes the future of naval shipbuilding.

What you will do

  • Design and optimize flexible mounting and vibration isolation concepts for equipment and systems on board
  • Perform calculations and simulations for vibration, noise, and acoustic behaviour
  • Define and align requirements with stakeholders during the tender and project phases
  • Support production teams with on-site vibration and noise measurements and validation trials
  • Advise project teams on reducing underwater noise, sonar self-noise, and structural vibrations
  • Take part in R&D initiatives focused on advancing noise and vibration technologies

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Practical experience in noise and vibration engineering, plus flexible mountings, preferably in shipbuilding
  • Knowledge of vibration and acoustic analysis methods and relevant modelling tools
  • Familiarity with international standards and naval regulations (IMO, STANAG, Class)
  • Experience with software such as ANSYS, FEMAP, or equivalent analysis tools
  • Good level of English, both written and spoken
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport (due to military project requirements)
