Your opportunity

As a Superintendent Electrical & Instrumentation, you will be part of the Technical Department of a major offshore fleet owner-operator. The department manages the maintenance, repair, and modifications of state-of-the-art, complex vessels, and equipment, providing technical support on and offshore. The fleet consists of heavy lift, subsea mining, pipe laying vessels, barges, and offshore support vessels.  You will be responsible for the day-to-day technical management, safe operation, and improvement of a wide range of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment and systems, proactively monitoring these systems and performing operational and maintenance checks to reduce downtime.

What you will do

  • Perform and analyse operational checks and preventive maintenance for E&I equipment and systems on board 
  • Collaborate with Vessel Management Teams and support the crew with daily activities 
  • Initiate corrective actions including investigation of improvements on maintenance strategies, safe functioning, operational capabilities and cost reductions
  • Prepare inspection, technical and other reports involving E&I equipment and systems
  • Arrange planning, detailed budget control and project execution for R&Ms for assigned equipment, damage repairs, modifications periods and assist during (de)mobilisations
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments, suppliers, flag state, and classification society
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, stimulate and propose the use of new technologies, and prepare (investment) proposals

What you already have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum +3 years of experience in a smiliar role within offshore dredging, construction or shipbuilding industry
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the offshore industry
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  • Willingness to travel to the fleet destination
