Your opportunity

As a Team Lead Combat Systems (project-based), you will be in charge of guiding a team of technical subcontract managers who coordinate with combat system suppliers from various countries for the frigate project. You will oversee the management of these suppliers throughout all stages of the project, including installation and system verification, to achieve the successful integration of combat systems on frigate project. You will work closely with multiple departments, stakeholders, and international partners, requiring significant and frequent business travel and periods of working abroad, as these frigates are built in Germany and involve global suppliers.

What you will do

  • Coordinate with the team and the partner integrators for the combat system management
  • Oversee the integration of combat system, working closely with the team and the engineering department
  • Be accountable for delivering the team's engineering services
  • Facilitate and actively participate in meetings with customers, suppliers, the Combat System Integrator, and other internal departments involved in the project
  • Plan and manage team resources, ensuring that all members have the necessary skills and competencies in coordination with the Sub-project Lead for Combat Systems and the line organization
  • Organize the team's daily operations and oversee planning for both short-term and medium-term goals
  • Coordinate with multiple internal teams, departments, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain quality performance, manage execution, and synchronize Combat Systems products and services
  • Ensure that Combat Systems engineering products and services are developed, validated, and delivered according to agreed schedules, quality standards, and budget limits

What you already have

  • A relevant technical bachelor's or master's degree with +6 years of experience in engineering or subcontractor management
  • Proven experience in effectively communicating with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and co-makers
  • Strong understanding of various engineering concepts and practices such as V-model, enabling you to handle diverse technical challenges
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel abroad frequently, as required to support project activities and objectives
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport, meeting the requirements for military-related projects, which is necessary for security and compliance reasons
