Your opportunity

System Engineer has a crucial role in developing comprehensive system models for complex naval vessels. These models describe the ship's functional behavior and establish traceability from operational concepts to technical solutions. You will guide the project team, utilizing system design frameworks to facilitate smooth integration with the system. You will provide support in the implementation of a model-based system architecture for functional safety assessments and assist in the requirements engineering process, encompassing traceability, analysis, decomposition, verification, and validation (V&V). Collaborating with system architects, design engineers, subcontractors, and clients, you will contribute to the successful realization of projects.

What you will do

  • Define and update system modelling processes
  • Evaluate and select suitable technologies, frameworks, and tools to facilitate system development
  • Conduct comprehensive system analysis to understand functional and non-functional requirements, translating them into technical specifications and designs
  • Cooperate with closely with software engineers and stakeholders to define system components, interfaces, and integration points
  • Perform formal safety assessments and propose mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical support, mentor to development teams and ensure consistency in design implementation
  • Elevate system design best practices, introducing innovation

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Engineering, preferably in Naval Architecture or Systems Engineering
  • Experience in Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and requirements engineering
  • Proficiency in system modeling techniques including SysML, system architecture frameworks such as UAF, and familiarity with associated methodologies
  • EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects
