Your opportunity

As a Structural Design Engineer Yacht Building, you will be part of the Engineering Team specializing in mega yacht projects +100m. You will take on, independently or in a team, the project design and set up the detailed structural design according to the basic design and technical specification, using Cadmatic or/and Siemens NX.

As you will be involved in projects from engineering to delivery, you will also communicate with the production team on a regular basis.

What you will do

  • Gathering project information and analyzing structural drawings, to stay up-to-date with all changes and alterations
  • Performing the 3D design of structures ensuring integration with the rest of the project
  • Thinking of creative solutions for complex problems to provide production support, where you could use your outside-the-box thinking
  • Actively cooperating with the other disciplines in the execution of the tasks, to ensure a smooth information flow
  • Analyzing and checking the drawings in the process from engineering to production and delivery, as you will be involved in several project stages
  • Supporting the production team with solving problems
  • Communicating with external parties and customers

What you already have

  • +2 years of experience as a Structural Engineer in the yacht- or shipbuilding sectors
  • Good working knowledge of Cadmatic or/and Siemens NX, so you can catch up with the work scope quickly
  • Clear and empathetic communication, since you will be working across several departments and project teams
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, international environment
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  • Available for full-time in the Rotterdam area
