Your opportunity

Are you a passionate Structural Engineer ready to take on a new challenge within the Offshore industry? Then this might be the right opportunity for you!

As a Structural Engineer, you are responsible for performing the design and analysis of large offshore structures and components. You will be busy with overall steel design and strength calculations of offshore structures for high-complexity projects. You report to the Lead Engineer on progress, setbacks, and technical issues of the project(s) you work on. You will be part of the Structural Engineering department, which is responsible for the design and engineering of the steel structures of Mooring systems and FPSO topside modules.

What you will do

  • Perform structural design (basic & detail) & analysis of steel offshore structures
  • Prepare strength, stability, weight & fatigue calculations 
  • Check drawings and coordinate the work of suppliers and subcontractors
  • Calculate and simulate structures with the use of high-end engineering software (Ansys & Python)
  • Make sure the structures are designed for extreme conditions and fatigue life and according to industry standards 
  • Report on the project status with the Lead Project Engineer
  • Respond timely to inter-discipline checks, site queries, clients, certifying authority requests, and vendors ensuring smooth project execution

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience in Structural Engineering for offshore or maritime structures
  • Good working knowledge of Ansys or FE software & Python is a plus!
  •  An analytical and solution-finding approach, since you will be the one solving engineering puzzles
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team, authorities, and clients worldwide
