Main requirements: Relevant experience in structural design of complex steel structures, preferably in offshore environments

Your opportunity

As a Structural Designer Offshore, you collaborate within a highly skilled team of structural designers and engineers. You are responsible for designing and drafting (2D & 3D) the full design of large and complex offshore steel structures. You will be involved in the full engineering cycle, translating the analysis and calculation output of your colleague Structural (and other discipline) Engineers to a total design. In this design process, you interface with Designers from other disciplines, like Mechanical and Piping.

What you will do

  • Performing Detail design of complex Offshore steel structures
  • Preparing 2D Design & 3D modelling (preferably in Autodesk Inventor) and processing documentation  
  • Assisting in performing technical analysis for complex structural challenges   
  • Verifying applicable design codes and standards for the design
  • Interfacing with other Design disciplines (Mechanical, Piping, Naval)
  • Continuous development of 3D design capabilities

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • +2 years of experience in structural design of complex steel structures
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, and Autodesk Vault
  • Capable of performing some basic structural calculations
  •  An analytical and solution-finding approach, since you will be the one solving engineering puzzles
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team, authorities, and clients worldwide
