Your opportunity

As a Standardization Engineer, you will streamline engineering processes by developing and maintaining standardized components and methods. Your role directly contributes to cost efficiency, risk reduction, and improved project timelines. Working with cross-functional teams, you will refine standards while ensuring compliance with technical and safety requirements.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain detailed 2D drawings of standardized components to ensure consistency and quality
  • Ensure adherence to technical specifications, manufacturability, weight constraints, ergonomics, and safety standards
  • Manage and update standardization data within the Product Data Management (PDM) system
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams across the organization and other global locations to drive standardization initiatives
  • Engage with suppliers and classification societies in technical discussions to ensure compliance with industry regulations

What you already have

  • BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field
  • +3 years of relevant experience in engineering
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in standardization efforts
  • Hands-on experience with CAD software, preferably MicroStation
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • Strong professional references, as security screening is a required part of the hiring process
  • EU citizenship and a valid passport (due to the classified nature of defense projects)
