Your opportunity
As a Senior Outfitting Engineer, you will be working in the department that is crucial for the mega yacht sector, as it focuses on a wide range of equipment essentials in creating the luxury look and feel of superyachts. You will prepare the 3D solution models of doors, shutters, railing, windows, hatches, and stairs, working in AutoCAD and Siemens NX. Next to that, you will decide on materials, production techniques, assembly, manufacturability, and cost of exterior elements before the production stage starts.
What you will do
- Contributing to the overall detail design of the Outfitting and Exterior parts of a superyacht
- Checking the 3D models, calculations, sketches, drawings, and technical specifications
- Resolving complex technical issues within the design team and/or between design and production
- Ensuring alignment with classification rules and regulations such as Lloyd's and Large Yacht Code
- Actively cooperating with the other disciplines in the execution of the tasks, to ensure a smooth information flow
- Supporting the production team with solving problems
- Communicating with external parties and customers

What you already have
- +5 years of experience in the Outfitting department within the yacht building sector
- Strong sense of esthetics in design
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Siemens NX
- Flexible approach, as you will work in a fast-paced environment with many changes
- Clear and empathetic communication, since you will be working across several departments and project teams
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
- Available for full-time in the Leiden area
