Your opportunity

As a Senior Engineer Marine Systems, you are responsible for the supervision of marine systems and equipment integration for mega yacht projects. Your main scope of work is detail engineering, quality control, communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, as well as production support. Within the Engineering Department, you work in a multidisciplinary manner, under the wings of the Lead Engineer Mechanical.

What you will do

  • Analyze and assess the basic design, specifications and technical requirements for the setup of the detailed design and engineering of marine systems
  • Provide support to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager Engineering in the creation of the scope and planning
  • Perform 3D modelling & 2D drawings and calculations
  • Advise and support internal and external stakeholders during project phases
  • Identify and evaluate bottlenecks in the design and production processes, make suggestions for improvement and monitor implementation
  • Ensure alignment with shipyard standards, classification rules and regulations
  • Actively cooperate with the other disciplines in the execution of the tasks ensuring a smooth information flow
  • Support the production team with solving problems

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant
  • Min 8 years of experience in engineering and broad knowledge of ship piping systems
  • Good knowledge of rules and regulations such as Lloyd's, Solas and Large Yacht Code
  • Experienced with CAD programs, preferably Siemens NX or Cadmatic
  • Quality and budget awareness as you will be working on the improvement of processes
  • Ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, so expect to be positively challenged
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English since you will be working across several departments and project teams
  • Available for full-time in Leiden
