As a Lead Engineer Interior, you will be working in the department that is crucial for the mega yacht sector, as it focuses on a wide range of equipment essentials in creating the luxury look and feel of superyachts.
You will prepare and check the 3D solution models of the luxury interior, working in AutoCAD and Siemens NX. Next to that, you will decide on materials, production techniques, assembly, manufacturability, and cost of exterior elements before the production stage starts.
What you will do
- Coordinating high-end interior development for the yacht building industry
- Producing, analyzing, and checking interior drawings and layouts in AutoCAD and Siemens NX
- Checking and approving the accuracy of the technical output from the team of Interior Engineers and subcontractors
- Reviewing all the information related to project development: quality, integration, time
- Monitoring the progress in cooperation with other disciplines: outfit, marine systems, and electrical
- Making sure all relevant data is compliant with the building specifications, standards, design codes, quality standards, and rules & regulations
- Maintaining contact with Classification & Flag Societies
- Supporting other departments: purchasing, production, commissioning, and aftersales
- Creatively approaching possible solutions and improvement of the process

What you already have
- +5 years of experience in the Interior Department within the yacht building sector
- Strong sense of esthetics in design
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Siemens NX
- Flexible approach, as you will work in a fast-paced environment with many changes
- Clear and empathetic communication, since you will be working across several departments and project teams
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
- Available for full-time in the Leiden area
