Your opportunity

As a Simulation Engineer, you will be contributing to the entire project, from the very first day until the assembly phase. You will be responsible for performing calculations in Matlab and Simulink, analyzing movements & motion control, in order to find the most efficient system solutions. Your end task will be to deliver metrics & system behavior, as well as control algorithms, in accordance with the requirements of the customer and the applicable rules.

What you will do

  • Assessing the content and approach to the design tasks together with the Lead Engineer and Technical Manager
  • Performing functional and organic analysis of the product
  • Performing dynamic system analysis on product or sub-system and developing control algorithms
  • Writing FAT procedures
  • Performing Risk assessment
  • Testing and validating solutions for the drivers & control systems by using tests scenarios and simulations

Our client is an Offshore Cranes OEM that operates with a small project management and engineering team from their office near Amsterdam. They develop, build and deliver specialized lifting equipment. As part of a large industrial group, the company has in-house manufacturing capacity in France and other locations worldwide.

What you already have

  • MSc. Degree in Automation & Mechatronics or System & Control
  • A hands-on and proactive approach, since you will be involved in solving systematic issues
  • Positive and open attitude, so your team comes to the office with a smile
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  • Experience in Matlab and/or Simulink and passion for programming are huge assets!
