Your opportunity

We’re seeking a dedicated Naval Project Risk Specialist to play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks throughout complex project lifecycles. In this role, you’ll contribute to a culture of safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to proactively address challenges.

What you will do

  • Leading risk identification workshops to assess potential challenges, their impact, and ownership across various project phases.
  • Performing both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to prioritize critical risks.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and comprehensive risk register aligned with legal and organizational standards.
  • Managing interdependent risks by breaking them into actionable levels.
  • Guiding risk owners in implementing and validating mitigation measures.
  • Monitoring and following up on mitigation actions to ensure consistent progress.
  • Presenting regular updates on evolving risks and mitigation efforts to stakeholders.
  • Addressing supplier and supply chain risks proactively to minimize disruptions.
  • Documenting and sharing lessons learned to enhance future risk management strategies.

What you already have

  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks, particularly ISO 31000
  • Knowledge of industrial engineering principles (e.g., V-Model, MBSE), particularly in manufacturing or shipbuilding
  • A BSc or MSc. degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding) or Technical Business Administration
  • Available for full-time work in the Netherlands
  • EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects.
