Your opportunity

As a Senior Umbilical Installation Engineer (Deepwater), you will take on a key technical role within a highly specialized offshore engineering environment. You will be responsible for developing installation methodologies, conducting advanced analyses, and translating complex engineering calculations into safe, practical offshore solutions. Working closely with project teams, vessel crews, subcontractors, and the client, you will contribute directly to the successful installation of multi-tube umbilicals in deepwater environments.

This role combines office-based engineering in the Netherlands with mobilization support in Europe and offshore deployment in India during execution campaigns.

What you will do

  • Prepare installation analyses, calculations, and procedures for load-out, trans-spooling, and deepwater umbilical installation
  • Act as the technical authority for multi-tube umbilicals, Vertical Lay Systems (VLS), and vertical connector systems
  • Perform and review OrcaFlex modelling and convert results into practical installation methods
  • Support offshore installation campaigns as Field Engineer or Construction Supervisor when required
  • Develop and optimize vessel deck layouts and installation arrangements for umbilical operations
  • Support ITT processes and technical evaluation of installation equipment such as carousels, loading towers, and routing systems
  • Contribute to testing activities and intermediate verification phases for umbilicals
  • Share lessons learned and best practices within the engineering and project teams
  • Represent the company as Umbilical SME towards the client during technical discussions and alignment meetings
