Company: offshore fleet owner & operator and EPIC offshore contractor

Main requirements: MSc in Maritime Engineering with 8+ years in structural engineering roles

Your opportunity

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take the lead in shaping and executing the structural scope of large-scale offshore heavy lift projects. You will be part of an expert engineering team working on complex installations and removals of offshore platforms — executed by some of the most powerful vessels ever built.

In this role, you will manage the full cycle of structural design, from concept development and detailed analyses to offshore support during project execution. You will coordinate across disciplines, mentor younger engineers, and contribute to safe, innovative, and efficient lifting operations. This is a role for someone who thrives on technical depth, teamwork, and the challenge of pushing offshore engineering to new limits.

What you will do

  • Lead the structural engineering activities for assigned heavy lift projects from start to finish
  • Develop and review designs, calculations, and simulations for platform structures and lifting systems
  • Define engineering methods, priorities, and progress while maintaining quality and efficiency standards
  • Coordinate with the project and offshore teams to prepare installation and removal procedures
  • Review subcontractor engineering deliverables and ensure alignment with project and safety standards
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, and material lists for the structural scope
  • Provide hands-on technical support during offshore operations when required
  • Guide, coach, and review the work of Junior and Medior Engineers
  • Capture lessons learned and help improve engineering tools, templates, and work processes
