Main requirements: 5+ years of ship structural analysis experience, strong FEM expertise, and familiarity with class rule calculations.

Your opportunity

As a Senior Structural Analyst, you will join the Naval & Structural group within a high-tech naval engineering environment. You will play a key role in both basic and detailed engineering phases, ensuring that structural designs meet the highest standards in strength, stiffness, vibration behavior, producibility, and maintainability.

From proposal engineering to yard support and final vessel delivery, your analyses will directly influence the integrity and performance of advanced naval ships. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, classification societies, and clients to ensure that all structural components are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and project specifications.

What you will do

  • Deliver high-quality structural engineering work within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Perform structural calculations and analyses related to strength, stiffness, vibration, and fatigue.
  • Develop and improve structural standards, methodologies, and working procedures.
  • Conduct FEM modelling and advanced simulations using tools such as ANSYS, NX, or FEMAP.
  • Support outsourced engineering packages with design checks and technical reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with class rules and regulatory requirements (e.g., DNV, LR, BV).
  • Integrate vendor and subcontractor information into the overall ship design and perform technical evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and clients to achieve fully integrated structural solutions.
  • Contribute to research & development initiatives and process improvements within the structural analysis discipline.

What you already have

  • MSc or BSc degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • +5 years of experience in ship structural analysis within shipbuilding or offshore industries.
  • Familiarity with ship class rule calculations and tools such as DNV-GL Nauticus Hull, LR-SSC, or BV MARS2000.
  • Strong proficiency in FEM modelling and simulation tools (ANSYS, NX, FEMAP).
  • Experience with CAD systems such as NUPAS (3D), 3DX, or CATIA.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment security screening.
  • EU citizenship is a must due to military nature of the projects
