Job summary:

Tasks: Design process piping, prepare material specs, review drawings, support HAZID, coordinate vendors, resolve site queries,

Projects: FPSO modification projects, including Topsides, Turret Mooring System, vessel systems, repair and life extension works. Project-based for 6 months (possibility of extension)

Company: EPCI offshore contractor and offshore fleet owner & operator

Main requirements: Mechanical Engineering degree, 5+ years piping experience, strong materials/stress knowledge, EPC oil & gas background,

Your opportunity

As a Senior Piping Materials Engineer, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality piping systems for an FPSO conversion project. You will prepare material and valve specifications, and perform reviews and discipline checks for piping deliverables.

What you will do

  • Develop basic and detailed piping designs for FPSOs and SPM systems
  • Prepare specifications for piping materials, valves, and special items
  • Review and engage with vendor documentation
  • Participate in HAZID sessions and support client/third-party approvals
  • Review fabrication and construction drawings; respond to site queries
  • Provide timely responses to interdisciplinary reviews, client/vendor questions, and certifying authority requests
  • Identify technical risks and report progress, challenges, and achievements to your Lead/Section Head

What you already have

  • MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of relevant piping engineering experience in oil & gas projects
  • Strong knowledge of piping materials, valves, and equipment
  • Experience in pipe stress analysis and piping design
  • Familiarity with international piping design codes and standards
  • Hands-on experience in both basic and detailed design phases
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken
  • Ready available to start for a 6-month project
