Your opportunity

As a Senior P&ID Engineer, you start with analyzing and assessing specifications to set up and model the project and create engineering packages in the basic design & engineering phases. As you are the specialist within the Mechanical scope, all stakeholders will benefit and take action based on your report and support on technical matters in line with project requirements, customer needs, technical guidelines and regulations

What you will do

  • Analyze and assess specifications and technical requirements related to project systems and processes, perform initial risk analyses and propose and implement mitigations for identified risks
  • Set up and model the basic engineering package for standard and new projects
  • Advise and support internal and external stakeholders during project phases
  • Execute and rapport project design reviews
  • Identify and evaluate bottlenecks in the design and installation processes, make suggestions for improvement and monitor implementation
  • Record documents for performed activities and provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of the periodical analysis of design

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant
  • +10 years of experience in engineering and broad knowledge of ship piping systems
  • +5 years of experience with CAD software
  • Good knowledge of rules and regulations related to the mechanical scope
  • Quality and budget awareness as you will be working on the improvement of processes
  • Ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, so expect to be positively challenged
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad occasionally
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English
  • Available for full-time in Rotterdam Area
  • EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects
