Your opportunity

As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the engineering output of the instrumentation work scope for offshore (FPSO) projects worldwide, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, budgets, and schedules. You will be working with a team of highly skilled professionals, providing updates on project progress and identifying technical risks.

What you will do

  • Lead and oversee the development of instrumentation and control systems for FPSOs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements
  • Design, select, and specify instrumentation equipment, ensuring compliance with international standards and codes
  • Prepare and review engineering documents, such as instrument datasheets, specifications
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, reporting progress and addressing concerns
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Maintain computer literacy for discipline calculations, document processing, spreadsheets, and database management
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth

Besides having proven capabilities in engineering and developing installations for harsh offshore conditions, they own and operate their own fleet of FPSOs. What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
  • +8 years of experience in the design and engineering of instrumentation systems for offshore oil and gas projects
  • Strong knowledge of international standards and codes, such as API, IEC, and NEC, related to instrumentation and control systems
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools, AutoCAD, and PLC programming
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex instrumentation issues
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience in leading and mentoring junior engineers
  • Flexibility to travel offshore and abroad as necessary
  • Available for full-time work in the Amsterdam area, and willing to travel occasionally to yards, suppliers and clients
