Main requirements: +8 years of experience in instrumentation design, knowledge of Plant 3D with 2D drawings

Your opportunity

As a Senior Instrumentation Designer, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality instrumentation designs within complex offshore (FPSO) projects. You will work closely with engineering teams to translate project requirements into practical, well-structured design outputs, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

What you will do

  • Develop detailed instrumentation designs in line with project specifications
  • Create 3D models of tubing systems and cable trays using Plant 3D, and generate corresponding 2D drawings
  • Prepare installation details and typicals, including material take-offs (MTO) and cable lists
  • Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure integrated and consistent design output
  • Monitor progress and report any risks, deviations, or technical challenges to the Lead Engineer
  • Contribute to project documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables

Besides having proven capabilities in engineering and developing installations for harsh offshore conditions, they own and operate their own fleet of FPSOs. What you already have

  • BSc. or Technical College in Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines
  • +8 years of experience in the design of instrumentation systems for offshore oil and gas projects
  • Strong experience with 2D and 3D CAD tools, including Plant 3D
  • Proficiency in working with technical documentation, spreadsheets, and design software
  • Solid understanding of instrumentation design principles and installation practices
  • Good communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively within a project team
