Your opportunity

As a Senior Heavy Lift Engineer, you will join a multidisciplinary team of Heavy Lift Engineers, Structural Engineers, Naval Architects, and Draftsmen responsible for delivering technically complex offshore installation and decommissioning projects.

You will support the complete project lifecycle—from feasibility studies and concept development through detailed engineering and offshore execution. Projects range from offshore wind foundation and converter platform installations to topside removals, jacket removals, and platform decommissioning campaigns.

Working with some of the most advanced offshore construction vessels in the world, you will develop innovative engineering solutions that enable safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of heavy lift operations.

What you will do

  • Develop engineering solutions for offshore installation, transportation, and decommissioning operations
  • Design and analyse topside lifts, jacket lifts, foundation installations, load transfer operations, and platform preparation activities
  • Prepare engineering calculations, reports, method statements, and operational procedures
  • Perform feasibility studies and FEED activities for complex heavy lift campaigns
  • Design lifting equipment including rigging arrangements, spreader bars, lifting points, and installation aids
  • Support fabrication, load-out, transportation, and offshore installation activities
  • Interface with vessel crews, project teams, clients, subcontractors, certification authorities, and marine warranty surveyors
  • Prepare technical documentation for client and class approvals
  • Provide offshore engineering support during project execution
  • Mentor and support junior and medior engineers within the team
  • Contribute to the development of innovative installation solutions for offshore energy projects

What you already have

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical, Civil, Maritime, Offshore, Aerospace Engineering, or similar
  • 4+ years of project-related engineering experience
  • Experience in Heavy Lift Engineering, Transportation & Installation (T&I), Offshore Structures, Installation Engineering, Equipment Engineering, or Decommissioning
  • Affinity with offshore and marine operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a technically challenging environment
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English
  • Willingness to travel offshore occasionally (3–4 weeks per year)
  • Desire to become a true specialist within offshore heavy lifting and installation engineering
