Your opportunity

Do you have a background in Electrical Engineering, an affinity with technology, and a passion for sustainability? Then the most modern and complex offshore wind projects are waiting for you!

As an Electrical Engineer, you will work in an international and multidisciplinary team, from conceptual and feasibility studies until complete detailed engineering of EPC projects.

You will work in the field of offshore energy activities, and you will help to develop projects such as offshore converter platforms, that convert alternating current to direct current, in order to connect offshore wind farms to the onshore installations. 

What you will do

  • Prepare design & calculations for the electrical scope of work in offshore wind projects
  • Write technical specifications & reports and selection of electrical distribution and backup systems
  • Perform concept, basic, and detailed engineering for HV/MV/LV installations, transformers, switchgear, distribution panels and AC/DC UPS systems
  • Prepare protection relays, electrical single-line diagrams, lightning calculations, network modeling, general arrangement layouts, among others
  • Guide and coach junior electrical engineers and designers
  • Perform FAT and prepare inspection report and punch list. 
  • Cooperating daily with other team members and disciplines, by using each other’s technical expertise for the best benefit of the project
  • Provide project documentation required by customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities
  • Evaluate supplier bids and ensure a smooth collaboration with 3rd party companies
  • Reporting to the Project Manager and Department Manager

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • +5 years of experience in complex electrical engineering projects
  • Good working knowledge of Electrical installations, preferably in the offshore industry
  • Excellent communication and people skills, since you will be communicating with other internal departments
  • Ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, so expect to be positively challenged
  • Fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  • Available for full-time in the Rotterdam area
