As a Senior Configuration Engineer (Project Based), you will be responsible for managing the complete product configuration and all information that describes one of the unique vessels. You will also have the responsibility to ensure that everyone has access to the correct, up-to-date product data in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system during the entire life cycle of the product. From contributing to proposal preparation to overseeing the configuration data during the development and maintenance phases, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate information. You will also support the formulation of configuration management processes, train project teams, and document procedures in a configuration management plan.
This position allows you to actively participate in projects from the early proposal phase to the delivery of the vessel. You will have a controlling function, monitoring compliance with configuration management procedures and initiating necessary actions. By proactively communicating findings to stakeholders, you will contribute to effective collaboration.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to set up the configuration management plan, validate customer and supplier data, configure the project data environment in a PDM/PLM system, and ensure configuration change control. This role requires an eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
