  • Projects: ROV mobilisations, offshore robotics integration, and advanced subsea technology operations across multiple vessel and project teams
  • Company: pipelaying, heavy lift/decommissioning, subsea construction/intervention and deep-sea operations
  • Main requirements: Engineering degree (mechanical/electrical/mechatronics/subsea) with strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical subsea systems (sensors a plus), proven offshore subsea operations support exposure, and experience with mobilisations and work packages

Your opportunity

Join a leading offshore contractor as an ROV Project Manager within the internal Unit ROV department. In this role, you will be the onshore coordination point ensuring offshore ROV operations run smoothly across the full company portfolio: subsea mining, heavy lift and decommissioning, pipelaying, and subsea construction and intervention operations. You will work with a pool of work-class ROV systems and a wide range of proprietary and third-party tooling, supporting technically complex hydraulic, electrical and subsea sensor-related equipment. Office-based in Delft, Netherlands.

What you will do

  • Organize and coordinate mobilizations of ROV systems and tooling for offshore campaigns, including planning, logistics, and readiness documentation.
  • Prepare work packages and provide day-to-day project support to offshore teams, acting as the primary onshore point of contact for ROV operations support.
  • Ensure operational continuity offshore by arranging rental equipment when needed, coordinating repair/replacement of malfunctioning tools, and managing equipment return and exchange logistics.
  • Manage requisitions and cost inputs, and contribute to pricing information and tender/proposal inputs for upcoming work.
  • Support audits and compliance processes by ensuring documentation, processes, and equipment readiness align with internal and project requirements.
  • Coordinate commissioning and decommissioning of tooling performed in-house, and interface with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues.
  • Support sourcing and evaluation of new tooling and suppliers, including participation in industry events and supplier engagement.

Where you will work

Want to be part of the changing process of the global offshore industry? Our client has the proven leadership and vision to create, maintain and operate previously inconceivable pipelaying, heavy lift, and deep sea mining ships and systems. The Unit ROV department is a central service entity, supporting every operational division with dedicated ROV capability and technical tooling expertise.

The environment is collaborative and pragmatic, with a stable team, strong cohesion, and a high degree of autonomy. The role is broad and operational, offering a strong learning curve and long-term development through training, technical upskilling and communication programs, supported by solid welfare and internal community initiatives.

What you already have

  • A BSc or MSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Subsea Engineering (or similar technical discipline).
  • Strong underwater operations exposure in subsea construction/intervention environments; ROV exposure is beneficial but not mandatory if your subsea operations experience is solid.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems; experience with subsea sensors is a strong advantage.
  • Experience coordinating equipment readiness, logistics, and interfaces with manufacturers/suppliers (maintenance, repair, replacement, rentals).
  • Comfortable working in a role that combines technical coordination, cost inputs, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.

Your benefits

  • 30 paid holidays per year for a good work-life balance
  • Covered commuting and interviewing costs
  • Business Travel Insurance, so you're covered while travelling for work
  • Basic Dutch course, so you will understand the Dutch jokes during the coffee break
  • Access to social gatherings, lectures, and events, so you will meet like-minded friends within the Dutch Maritime Industry.
  • Housing search support and registration supported by Van Storm
