Your opportunity

As a Quality Control Coordinator, you will join a highly skilled QC team supporting both onshore and offshore project execution. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all quality control matters within assigned projects, ensuring that materials, components, and fabricated structures meet the strictest industry, regulatory, and project-specific standards.

Working within a fast-paced and technical offshore environment, you will review subcontractor documentation, perform inspections, coordinate third-party inspectors, and ensure compliance with QC, welding, coating, and NDT requirements. Your work directly contributes to the reliability, safety, and performance of complex offshore systems and mission-critical equipment.

What you will do

  • Act as the main point of contact for all QC matters within assigned offshore projects.
  • Perform contract reviews and determine inspector qualification requirements.
  • Select and coordinate inspectors based on project scope and technical requirements.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier procedures, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and production schedules.
  • Monitor QC performance of subcontractors and provide guidance where needed.
  • Attend kick-off meetings, pre-production meetings, and procedure qualification tests.
  • Conduct fabrication inspections at subcontractor locations and during production.
  • Implement QC requirements for materials, welding, coating, and NDT as defined in project ITPs.
  • Inspect incoming materials and consumables, checking certification and compliance.
  • Oversee proper storage, preservation, and handling of materials and consumables.
  • Maintain and prepare QC documentation for internal and client audits.
  • Perform audits on vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to verify compliance capability.
  • Check work preparations and execute inspections in accordance with applicable plans and standards.
  • Provide regular QC updates to project teams and advise on risk mitigation.

What you already have

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in fabrication, piping, offshore equipment, or QC-related roles.
  • Solid understanding of welding, coating, materials, inspection procedures, and related quality requirements.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 environments and familiarity with industry codes (API, AWS, ASME, BS-EN, DNV).
  • CSWIP 3.1 and/or NDT knowledge is a strong advantage.
  • Good command of Dutch is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for inspections or audits.
