Your opportunity

As the Project Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the quality standards for key naval shipbuilding projects. This isn’t just about following protocols – you’ll have the chance to truly elevate how quality assurance is handled from the ground up. From implementing project-specific improvements to ensuring suppliers meet stringent requirements, you’ll be at the heart of delivering exceptional results. With international travel as a key part of the job, you'll collaborate with a global network of suppliers, overseeing quality at every stage of production.

What you will do

  • Take charge of quality processes, encouraging a strong focus on quality across shipbuilding projects
  • Ensure quality management systems and processes are applied effectively and consistently
  • Identify and implement improvements to QA procedures tailored to each project
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of QA standards and practices
  • Keep the QA registration system accurate and up to date
  • Attend project and department meetings, providing essential QA insights and updates
  • Communicate regularly with project management about quality status and risk mitigation efforts

What you already have

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Management, ideally in naval, defense, or shipbuilding industries
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes within shipbuilding
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Business Administration, Maritime Technology, or Shipbuilding
  • Fluent in English, with Dutch and German being a plus
  • Eagerness and readiness for frequent international travel
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required due to the military nature of the projects
