Your opportunity

As a Project Lead Mechanical, you take on a leadership role managing complex and unique yacht engineering projects. Working with a team, you will oversee the design and implementation of engine rooms, propulsion systems, piping systems, and luxury accommodation hotel systems, ensuring the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in preparing Production and Purchase teams with accurate working drawings, timely approvals, and precise coordination with suppliers to meet specifications and schedules.

What you will do

  • Work on the entire technical design of the yacht, covering all systems and components
  • Ensure the design meets the quality standards and client expectations
  • Collaborate with production teams during construction to ensure seamless implementation
  • Work closely with the production halls located next to the workplace, allowing for direct observation and interaction during construction
  • Coordinate with the Shipbuilding Engineering and Interior Engineering departments to integrate hull construction and interior designs into the overall project
  • Be part of a close-knit, driven team with open, direct communication and collaboration
  • Address challenges that arise during design and construction with creative, effective solutions
  • Ensure the technical design aligns with client needs and specifications for each project

What you already have

  • +3 years of experience in mechanical design and marine systems engineering in the yacht building industry
  • BSc. or MSc. in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering
  • A proactive and independent approach, since you will be involved in projects from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of marine systems of shipbuilding
  • Passionate about technology and solving complex technological challenges
  • Well-organized and capable of structuring work effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills since you will be involved in communication with designers, owner representatives, subcontractors and co-creators
  • Available for full-time in Oss
