Main requirements: Relevant experience in marine systems and naval architecture of FPSOs and willingness to work in Dubai (rotation or relocation) for a period of 1,5 years

Your opportunity

As a Project Engineer Naval & Marine, you will act on behalf of our client on a major FPSO brownfield project. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle (approximately 1.5 years), representing the client’s interests during engineering, integration, and execution activities.

This role is ideal for a senior engineering professional with strong offshore and FPSO experience, who understands how complex vessel systems, safety, and operations come together. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, operations, and project management, ensuring technical quality, safety compliance, and alignment with project objectives.

What you will do

  • Act as Client Representative / PMC on-site for an FPSO conversion project
  • Represent the company's interests towards contractors, yards, and engineering teams
  • Monitor engineering, construction, and integration activities with a strong focus on FPSO systems
  • Review and challenge technical solutions related to marine systems, hull structures, and vessel operations
  • Ensure alignment with functional safety requirements and safety case processes (SCR, MAE, Safety Case)
  • Identify technical and execution risks and escalate where necessary
  • Support decision-making by providing clear technical and operational insight

Besides having proven capabilities in engineering and developing installations for harsh offshore conditions, they own and operate their own fleet of FPSOs. What you already have

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in offshore or energy projects
  • Engineering background in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong background in plant engineering, process engineering, or systems engineering
  • Proven FPSO experience, including understanding of offshore operations and vessel system integration
  • Solid knowledge of marine systems, hull structures, and offshore vessel operations
  • Familiarity with integrated control and safety systems and power management/generation
  • Experience with brownfield projects
  • Familiarity with DNV classification rules
  • Willingness to work on a rotational site schedule in Dubai

Your benefits

  • You will be based in Dubai, working on site for the duration of the project. The role follows a 5 weeks on / 1 week off rotation, with a 6-day working week (9 working hours per day plus lunch).
