Your opportunity

As a Project Engineer Mechanical, you will be involved in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components for luxury yacht projects.

You will be responsible for coordinating the project and supervising the Mechanical Engineer(s) on the work floor. You will ensure that all information and technical specifications are correctly processed and communicated clearly. You will coordinate the technical assessment, starting from concept design up to and including the final design, in close consultation with the other disciplines and external parties.

What you will do

  • Develop mechanical systems and components in technical areas starting from the engine room
  • Design of HVAC systems from concept to the integration of cable routes
  • Conduct feasibility studies and assess technical specifications and drawings to ensure customer wishes and requirements
  • Communicate with stakeholders about the progress of the project and ensure integrated design solutions
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and share knowledge and experience within a multidisciplinary team

What you already have

  • +4 years of experience in mechanical design and marine systems engineering in the yacht building industry
  • BSc. or MSc. in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering
  • A proactive and independent approach, since you will be involved in projects from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of marine systems of shipbuilding
  • Passion for technology is a big asset
  • Knowledge of 3D/2D drafting, preferably in Siemens NX or Cadmatic
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills since you will be involved in communication with designers, owner representatives, subcontractors and co-creators
  • Available for full-time in Amsterdam Area
