Your opportunity

If you have a strong background in leading teams in FPSO design engineering projects within your own discipline or interdisciplinary, this is your opportunity to be the technical project lead. A chance to develop and make good use of your organizational talent and excellent interpersonal skills.

As a Project Engineer you will be leading multidisciplinary teams through the full design engineering cycle of FPSOs and complex single point mooring systems. You are responsible for managing the technical scope of these projects so that the internally and externally involved Engineers and Designers deliver the quality output that meets the defined project requirements.

What you will do

  • Integrating the engineering team by assisting the definition of discipline scopes, staffing plans, schedule and engineering tools
  • Actively involved in change and interface management and taking a key role in technical communications with the client, certifying authorities and engineering subcontractors
  • Driving the team's commitment to deliver innovative and cost effective engineering solutions
  • Reporting to the overall Project Manager and communicating with colleagues in procurement, contracts, construction and operations

It is a privately owned company that delivers floating energy solutions and complex mooring equipment to the global oil & gas and renewables industries. Besides having proven capabilities in engineering and developing installations for harsh offshore conditions, they own and operate their own fleet of FPSOs.   • Challenging engineering environment, particularly in developing equipment for extreme offshore conditions

  • For the size of the projects, a relatively small multi-disciplinary design engineering team of around 90 people, with a focus on conceptual and basic design

What you already have

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
  • +8 years of experience in FPSO design engineering projects
  • Proven capability in leading engineering teams
  • You are a team player with well-developed negotiations and communication skills in English
  • Thorough understanding of planning and control of interdisciplinary activities, discipline responsibilities, quality aspects for control methods and procedures
  • Familiar with procurement, contract, fabrication, construction and commissioning practices
