Your opportunity

As a Project Coordinator Manufacturing Engineering, you will plan and design the entire manufacturing process for shipbuilding projects. Your role will focus on maximizing efficiency by analyzing equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.

You will determine the necessary parts and tools to meet manufacturing goals according to product specifications. Furthermore, you will contribute to planning, designing, setting up, modifying, optimizing, and monitoring manufacturing processes.

What you will do

  • Coordinate the entire Manufacturing Engineering process for yard own work, including Structures, Piping, Outfitting, and Mechanical
  • Evaluate technical specifications of subcontracted work to ensure alignment with project goals
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Provide detailed plans for subcontractors on critical processes, such as cable pulling
  • Ensure product and process quality by developing testing methods, testing finished product/process capabilities, and establishing standards
  • Calculate production, labor, and material costs, review production schedules, and anticipate future requirements to provide manufacturing decision-making information
  • Train and guide technicians to complete ME design and development projects
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing parts of ME project improvements
  • Handle questions from, advise, and communicate with operational stakeholders

What you already have

  • 4+ years of experience working in a machining or production environment
  • Experience with people management, so you will be able to coordinate and guide teams effectively
  • BSc. or MSc, degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, or another technical study
  • Fluency in English and Dutch is a big plus
  • Permanent EU citizenship and a passport are required due to the military nature of the projects
