Your opportunity

As a Project Controller, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects and overseeing the risks of assigned projects in the proposal and basic engineering phases. Your main responsibilities will involve maintaining financial control over projects, handling contract management, and regularly monitoring to ensure that project goals are achieved. Furthermore, you will be expected to deliver precise financial and qualitative reports, ensuring the financial integrity of daily project management operations.

What you will do

  • Oversee project control, covering risk management, cash flow management, cost control, forecasting, reporting, contract management, and general progress monitoring
  • Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the Project Director, supporting the project's financial strategy
  • Take a proactive approach in ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and regulations
  • Promote cost awareness within the project team and ensure these costs are well understood and managed by both project management and the team
  • Monitor all factors affecting cash flow and keep the project team informed of any potential impacts
  • Identify issues and independently suggest improvements to enhance the project’s financial performance
  • Provide accurate and timely monthly reports and quarterly updates on the project's financial status, including comprehensive analysis and explanations
  • Coordinate with the legal department to ensure any contract deviations or changes are properly managed and addressed

What you already have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controlling, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • +7 years of experience in controlling large projects within a technical environment
  • Proficiency in Dutch, both written and spoken
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Willingness and ability to frequently travel long distances and work internationally
  • Proven experience in effectively communicating with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and co-makers
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel abroad occasionally, as required to support project activities and objectives
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport, meeting the requirements for military-related projects, which is necessary for security and compliance reasons
