Your opportunity

As Production Team Lead, your core responsibility will involve providing strategic leadership either to a team of proficient Manufacturing Engineering (ME) experts within the Project Department or to a team of experienced supervisors within the Production Department.

Your primary objective will be to lead and ensure that your team has access to essential resources and knowledge, enabling them to execute Manufacturing Engineering and Production tasks with utmost efficiency. The role of Manufacturing Engineering encompasses a comprehensive analysis of equipment arrangement, workflow optimization, and assembly methodologies, all aimed at enhancing overall productivity and effectiveness. This analysis pertains to one of several yard manufacturing disciplines, including Hull, Piping, Outfitting, and Mechanical.

Furthermore, as a central point of contact for all production-related matters, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance not only to your immediate team but also to cross-functional departments such as Engineering and Purchasing. Your insights and expertise will contribute significantly to informed decision-making across the organization. In essence, this role offers the opportunity to lead, optimize production processes, and collaborate closely with various departments to contribute to the holistic success of the organization.

What you will do

  • Leading and coaching a production team
  • Ooverseeing the efforts of a manufacturing engineering team
  • Guiding and mentoring manufacturing engineering team, including conducting performance assessments and contributing to performance evaluations
  • Overseeing team resource allocation, ensuring that all members possess the requisite skills, and driving internal performance enhancement across all team aspects
  • Effectively managing a range of internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and departments, to guarantee the successful execution and quality of assigned projects within established timelines, prescribed quality benchmarks, and budgetary parameters
  • Crafting and implementing essential policies and protocols to guide the team in achieving its strategic business goals

What you already have

  • MSc. or BSc. in relevant Marine Engineering faculty 
  • 7+ years of experience in production processes
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Advanced knowledge of CAD tools and PDM software
  • Available for working full-time in Vlissingen
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English
  • Willingness to perform a background check
  • EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects
