Your opportunity

As a Production Engineer, you are responsible for the safe, efficient, and qualitatively high production of Thermoplastic Composite Pipes. These TCP solutions are provided to clients around the world for deployment in offshore environments, ranging from more traditional Oil & Gas related, deepsea exploration to cutting-edge applications for Hydrogen transportation. Our client has a strong focus on research and development to improve and develop new product solutions. 

Currently, the organization is implementing a new production line, doubling its production capacity. You will be part of the team to ensure the operations have the most reliable and efficient plant and equipment to execute projects and R&D. You will do this by taking responsibility for various production activities, for example, by providing instructions and training to colleagues in the factory.

What you will do

  • Support the work preparation department with the planning and preparation of extrusion and laminate processes
  • Determine machine configuration and have new parts designed and ordered as needed
  • Standardize and continuously improve production processes through further integration of production equipment into line control
  • Provide training to operators, shift leaders, and direct colleagues
  • Represent manufacturing within commercial and R&D projects
  • Drafting of work instructions
  • Have new tools designed and ordered to improve the execution of work
  • Liaise with other departments to work together on improvements

What you already have

  • BSc. Or MSc. in Mechanical Engineering¸ Polymer Technology or related technical education
  • 2+ years of working experience as a Production Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with polymer extrusion processes is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is an advantage
  • You have a hands-on approach to the production process
  •  Ability to work in a high-paced, entrepreneurial & multicultural environment
  •  Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  •  Available for full-time in IJmuiden
