Your opportunity

Are you a specialist in Piping materials looking for your next challenge?

We're looking for a Piping Material Engineer to be the crucial link between the Piping Design, Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Procurement teams. You'll work on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing attention to detail with a holistic project vision.

If you have expertise in EN/ASTM materials, corrosion protection, design codes, item designation (RDS-PP), and standardization processes, or are eager to expand your knowledge in these areas, then this is the right job for you!

What you will do

  • Execute Piping systems definition and materials requisition
  • Select piping materials and create valve and component lists
  • Review and execute Piping Engineering activities: arrangements, routing, P&IDs, etc.
  • Review the design engineering output of piping designers and vendors
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines, procurement, vendors, and clients
  • Act as Lead Engineer on projects and perform final inspections when needed
  • Make sure the output is according to the Quality Management System and HSE procedures

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • +3 years of experience in Piping Materials scope of work
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering of piping components and/or valves
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant Materials
  • Excellent communication and people skills, since you will be communicating with other internal departments and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, so expect to be positively challenged
  • Fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  • Available for full-time in the Rotterdam area
