Your opportunity

As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the supervision and integration of advanced marine systems and equipment for mega yacht projects. Your work focuses on detail engineering, quality control, and coordination with both internal teams and external suppliers, while also providing essential production support. This role involves working with sophisticated and specialized systems such as HVAC and water piping, pumps, complex mechanical components (e.g., for beach club areas), and cutting-edge electro-mechanical machinery, including methanol fuel systems. You will operate within a multidisciplinary team under the guidance of the Lead Engineer Mechanical, contributing directly to the creation of world-class luxury vessels.

What you will do

  • Analyze and assess the basic design, specifications, and technical requirements for the setup of the detailed design and engineering of marine systems
  • Coordinate and integrate a wide range of marine equipment, including pumps, HVAC, piping systems, and large mechanical components
  • Support the implementation of more specialized and complex machinery, including electro-mechanical systems and sustainable propulsion elements such as methanol fuel components
  • Provide support to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager Engineering in the creation of the scope and planning
  • Perform 3D modelling, 2D drawings, and system calculations
  • Advise and support internal and external stakeholders during all project phases
  • Identify and evaluate bottlenecks in the design and production processes, suggest improvements, and monitor implementation
  • Ensure alignment with shipyard standards, classification rules, and regulations
  • Actively cooperate with other engineering disciplines to ensure a smooth and integrated workflow
  • Support the production team with solving system-related issues during the build

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marine systems engineering, with broad knowledge of ship piping and machinery systems
  • Experience with sophisticated mechanical and electro-mechanical systems in luxury yacht environments
  • Strong knowledge of applicable rules and regulations (Lloyd’s, SOLAS, Large Yacht Code)
  • Skilled in CAD software, preferably Siemens NX or Cadmatic
  • Quality and budget awareness, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work in a highly complex, multidisciplinary technical environment
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, for smooth cross-departmental collaboration
