Your opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Marine Superintendent to join a dynamic team in the offshore energy sector. In this role, you will provide expert marine support for FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading units) and base personnel, ensuring operational excellence through collaboration with Asset Managers and project teams. As a Marine Superintendent, you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to operational and project success.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain corporate marine policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Provide expert guidance on marine-related issues impacting offshore installations
  • Offer valuable marine input during tender processes and ongoing project operations
  • Collaborate on the design and development of future FPSO projects
  • Stay updated on maritime regulations, industry trends, and best practices, integrating them into operations
  • Provide offshore support onboard F(P)SOs as needed, serving as a backup for regular offshore staff

It is a privately owned company that delivers floating energy solutions and complex mooring equipment to the global oil & gas and renewables industries. Besides having proven capabilities in engineering and developing installations for harsh offshore conditions, they own and operate their own fleet of FPSOs.   • Challenging engineering and offshore operational environment, particularly in developing equipment for extreme offshore conditions
  • Organization with a cooperative mindset and open communication style, which allows for professional progress

  • For the size of the projects, a relatively small multi-disciplinary engineering team, with a focus on conceptual and basic design
  • Combining in one close-knit company: EPCI contractor and offshore fleet-owner-operator

What you already have

  • A BSc or MSc degree from a Nautical College and a Master’s Certificate of Competency.
  • +5 years of experience with crude oil tankers and offshore operations.
  • Strong knowledge of tanker operations and dynamic positioning (DP).
  • Certifications include an Engineering COW Certificate and a DP Certificate.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Be available for a full-time job in the Amsterdam Area or willing to relocate
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally, including visits to offshore installations
