Your opportunity

As a Marine Naval Architect, you will play a key role in developing state-of-the-art warships that meet the highest standards of performance, survivability, and efficiency. Working within a dynamic R&D environment, you’ll collaborate across departments to deliver powerful, integrated solutions—from propulsion concepts to fire safety and HVAC design. This is your chance to turn ideas into action on some of the world’s most advanced defense platforms.

What you will do

  • Lead the design and development of ship-wide general arrangements and subsystem architecture
  • Generate concepts, system diagrams, weight and power estimations, and propulsion/energy configurations
  • Evaluate new marine engineering technologies and contribute to Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives
  • Translate technical vision into models, specifications, design reports, and compelling presentations
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated design and smooth communication
  • Deliver project documentation and engineering support across design, proposal, and early build phases

What you already have

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field
  • +3 years of experience in naval design, proposals, or maritime/offshore R&D
  • Proficiency in CAD and relevant engineering tools
  • Strong English communication skills (Dutch is a plus)
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required—dual nationals and visa holders are not eligible due to the security requirements of defense projects
  • Willingness to undergo security screening as part of the recruitment process
