Your opportunity

Are you an HVAC expert, able to oversee engineering development, and experienced with leading projects? Then this might be a great opportunity for you!

As the Lead HVAC Engineer, you will perform and coordinate the engineering and design process of HVAC systems, equipment, and components in complex offshore projects. In this role, you will be the go-to person for all HVAC-related matters. You will also maintain regular communication with other departments and external stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Develop and oversee the design and engineering of HVAC systems
  • Perform calculation, sizing, and selection of HVAC equipment and ducting
  • Review the engineering principles for equipment, and components, such as chillers, compressors, heat exchangers, and control systems
  • Work in close cooperation with other disciplines, subcontractors, and project teams ensuring compliance with industry standards and project objectives
  • Ensure the engineering deliverables comply with safety and environmental regulations specifically for offshore environments (ATEX)
  • Support the construction and installation works when needed

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • +10 years of experience in HVAC systems, preferably in offshore environments or complex industrial installations
  • +2 years of experience in leading a project within your expertise
  • High-quality standards, so you always strive for the best outcome for the project
  • Excellent communication and people skills, since you will be communicating with other internal departments and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, so expect to be positively challenged
  • Fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  • Available for full-time in the Rotterdam area
