Your opportunity

As an Installation Analysis Engineer, your role will involve being a technical expert within the project engineering team. You will perform and resolve queries related to Thermoplastic Composite Pipe installation process, dynamic in-place analysis, static analysis, on-bottom stability, and free spans analysis. You will be part of an international & dynamic team of engineers and you will have the opportunity to build the Installation Analysis Engineer.

What you will do

  • Be the main contact point for any matters related to the analysis of pipe installation or in-place analysis
  • Liaise with the project engineering team to address queries and provide technical guidance
  • Optimize pipe designs, capacity checks, and provide input into ancillary design
  • Collect and verify the data required to perform installation and in-place analysis
  • Guide project teams on design checks and advise on specific design elements
  • Utilize tools such as Orcaflex and Python to run analyses related to pipe design and operation
  • Perform analyses for installation, in-place conditions, on-bottom stability (OBS), and other relevant aspects
  • Support tender processes by providing analysis estimations
  • Optimize working processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in analysis workflows
  • Provide support to offshore installation operations as needed
  • Maintain thorough documentation of analysis procedures, results, and reports

What you already have

  • BSc. in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Subsea Engineering, or an equivalent degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in offshore installation analysis or similar roles
  • Preferably, experience with pipe/cable manufacturers, ancillary manufacturers, and/or installation contractors
  • Strong knowledge of Orcaflex for performing installation and in-place analyses
  • Programming skills, with a preference for experience in Python
  • Knowledge of offshore industry codes and standards such as API and DNV
  • Willingness to work offshore when necessary
  • You have a hands-on approach to the engineering and installation process
  •  Ability to work in a high-paced, entrepreneurial & multicultural environment
  •  Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  •  Available for full-time in IJmuiden (working from home is possible)
