Your opportunity

As a HVAC Project Engineer, you will lead a team of engineers within your discipline, ensuring the development and integration of high-quality technical solutions across large, complex mega yacht projects. You will coordinate design, 3D modeling, and production information for routing of mechanical systems and spatial arrangements. This role includes multidisciplinary collaboration, process improvement, and stakeholder communication, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards in line with Class and Flag regulations.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering technically advanced and meticulously crafted luxury yachts. Working closely with other engineering disciplines, senior management, and the Owner’s representatives, you will ensure all components align seamlessly and are engineered for manufacturability, performance, and aesthetic quality.

What you will do

  • Lead and manage the engineering scope for Routing & Arrangements throughout all project phases, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline targets are met
  • Guide the creation of final design, technical documentation, and detailed 3D models, with full compliance to Class and Flag rules
  • Supervise and mentor engineers (junior to senior levels), ensuring engineering quality and professional development
  • Act as a technical expert and solve complex engineering challenges with creative, practical solutions
  • Coordinate with engineers across disciplines to ensure accurate and aligned integration
  • Facilitate communication with the Owner’s team to address technical questions, remove blockers, and align project expectations
  • Review and optimize design processes to promote continuous innovation and efficiency
  • Support production by resolving design and system-related issues during yacht construction

What you already have

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Engineer in the shipbuilding sector
  • Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams
  • Expertise in 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cadmatic) and data management tools (Teamcenter)
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal
  • Effective communication skills, adaptable to different audiences
  • Knowledge of exterior engineering, moving equipment, and integration of mechanical systems
  • Understanding of cable/panel routing, onboard systems, and weight/budget planning
  • Deep insight into yacht construction processes and production workflows
  • Strong analytical mindset and dedication to quality and results
