Your opportunity

As Heavy Lift & Transport Engineer, you will take care of projects from A to Z, starting with analysis and engineering, through coordinating the preparation and monitoring the execution of heavy lift installation and transportation projects. You are involved from the first client inquiry to the delivery of heavy cargo around the world. Within these relatively short project cycles, you are responsible for the technical solutions, working closely with your colleagues but also independently.

What you will do

  • Leading kick-off meetings with clients, to understand their needs and requirements
  • Preparing all engineering work related to projects such as lifting, transport, structural calculations, stability & motion analysis    
  • Coordinating and monitoring the engineering work with internal departments, subcontractors, and clients to ensure a smooth cooperation
  • Preparing the project documentation such as transport manuals, risk analysis, 2D drawings, material & equipment specifications
  • Developing the timeline and planning different phases of the project
  • Supporting the execution of the project mainly from the engineering office, and occasionally on-site, in order to have a better progress overview

What you already have

  • +2 years of experience as a Heavy Lift & Transport Engineer in an offshore engineering environment
  • BSc. or MSc. in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Marine Engineering, so you have the required engineering skills
  • A proactive and independent approach, since you will be involved in projects from start to finish
  • A basis of knowledge of marine transport projects, lifting & transport calculations, and stability & structural analysis
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment, as most of the projects have tight schedules
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multi-cultural team and clients
  • Available for hybrid working in the Rotterdam area and traveling abroad occasionally
