Your opportunity

As an Expert Engineer Yacht Equipment, you will be the go-to expert for critical onboard systems such as hatches, hydraulics, mooring arrangements, railings, exterior stairs, and propulsion equipment. You will ensure these systems are engineered, integrated, and installed to meet the highest standards of luxury yacht construction.

In this role, you will work closely with project engineers, production teams, and suppliers to develop detailed technical designs, 3D models, and documentation. Your expertise will ensure that each design is manufacturable, compliant with class and flag regulations, and perfectly aligned with the aesthetic and functional standards of bespoke superyachts.

What you will do

  • Develop and refine detailed engineering designs, 3D models, and drawings for yacht equipment systems.
  • Act as the subject-matter expert for hatches, hydraulics, mooring, railings, exterior stairs, and propulsion components.
  • Ensure designs comply with class and flag regulations, as well as internal quality standards.
  • Conduct technical assessments to guarantee manufacturability and installation feasibility.
  • Identify and resolve design bottlenecks, providing practical and innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with production, suppliers, and senior engineers to ensure timely and flawless project delivery.
  • Review documentation and technical data to maintain accuracy and consistency across project phases

What you already have

  • MSc. or BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Maritime Technology
  • +5 years of experience in a technical role within the yacht building sector, preferably in equipment systems
  • Expertise in hatches, hydraulics, mooring systems, railings, exterior stairs, and propulsion arrangements
  • Proficiency in 3D AutoCAD and preferably Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or Cadmatic
  • Solid understanding of yachtbuilding production processes and construction methods
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent command of English (written and spoken)
