Your opportunity

Are you an experienced Engineer with a passion for designing efficient and safe technical spaces in naval vessels? This role offers you the chance to contribute to naval projects where your expertise in technical arrangements will be essential. You will work on ensuring that systems and components are arranged to meet stringent technical requirements while prioritizing maintainability, ergonomics, and operational safety. Collaborating closely with system specialists, safety engineers, and maintainability experts, you will strive to optimize the design of spaces where these systems are housed. This position provides a unique opportunity to work on technologically advanced naval ships and make an impact on their design and functionality.

What you will do

  • Design and engineer technical arrangements for simulation and practice rooms, ensuring compliance with stringent technical requirements
  • Analyze and develop arrangements considering weight, ergonomics, and safety factors
  • Create technical documents, equipment specifications, and reports to support engineering and procurement processes
  • Collaborate with system specialists, safety engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize designs
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure project success

What you already have

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • +3 years of relevant experience in design concepts and practices
  • Experience in advanced design and proposal processes, preferably in naval shipbuilding
  • Proficiency in English, with knowledge of Dutch being an advantage
  • Familiarity with 3DX engineering tools or Solid Edge is a plus
