Job summary:

Tasks: Develop and refine detailed engineering designs and 3D models with a strong focus on manufacturability and feasibility.

Projects: Custom-built luxury mega yachts of 80m+.

Company: Prestigious Dutch yacht builder with state-of-the-art shipyard facilities.

Main requirements: 2–5 years of experience in engineering within yacht or shipbuilding, with strong knowledge of production processes.

Your opportunity

As a Engineer Production Support, you will take on a central role in the technical execution of complex and prestigious projects. Working at the forefront of superyacht engineering, you will be responsible for translating design concepts into production-ready technical solutions.

In this role, you will ensure that engineering output meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance, while also safeguarding manufacturability and feasibility for production. You will work closely with senior engineers, project leads, and production teams, solving technical bottlenecks and supporting the smooth transition from engineering to the shipyard floor.

What you will do

  • Develop and refine detailed engineering designs, 3D models, and technical drawings
  • Ensure compliance with Class and Flag regulations as well as internal project specifications
  • Conduct technical assessments to guarantee manufacturability and feasibility of complex yacht structures and systems
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, project leads, and production teams to ensure alignment and quality
  • Identify and resolve technical issues or bottlenecks in a proactive manner
  • Support production on-site with solving engineering-related problems during the build
  • Review documentation and drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices

What you already have

  • BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Technology, or a similar discipline
  • 2–5 years of work experience in engineering within yacht or shipbuilding
  • Solid knowledge of production processes and ability to act as a bridge between engineering and manufacturing
  • Skilled in 3D AutoCAD, knowledge of Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and Cadmatic
  • Knowledge from and experience with hull engineering, exterior engineering, moving equipment and equipment integration
  • Insight into systems on board and weight and budgeting
  • Accurate, analytical, and quality-driven by nature
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
